(no subject)
Anna's memories from age five downwards are incredibly happy, because it's the time she and Elsa and her parents were all last together. However, because Elsa accidentally beamed her in the face with ice magic, all Anna's memories are altered in a way that covers up any inclination that Elsa might have had powers. She has no idea Elsa has magical abilities and no memory of being hurt by her. All her experiences with Elsa's magic were converted to simply fun time in the winter.
After age five Anna spends most of her time on her own since Elsa's afraid to be near her. She doesn't understand why Elsa suddenly doesn't want to be around her and no one can offer an explanation without explaining Elsa's abilities. She has a loving relationship with her parents, but they have important duties as King and Queen and can't hang out with her continuously. So she tries to find her own ways to amuse herself, but it's incredibly lonely-- she continues to reach out to Elsa until about age fifteen where she briefly gives up trying.
Her parents die in a shipwreck while traveling abroad for work and Anna's basically entirely alone. She buries her parents on her own without Elsa, but begs her to come out of her room to be with her-- but Elsa can't and Anna still doesn't understand why.
Anna spends three more years entirely alone with no one other than castle staff to interact with before Elsa's coronation, where the gates to Arendelle are finally opened. The kingdom and nobility from surrounding areas are all invited for just one day and it's everything Anna's ever wanted--
except she never gets to experience much of it since she ends up in Ryslig soon after running outside.
While in Ryslig Anna's made a few friends and met some really kind people! She's in no rush to get back home anytime soon, but as royalty she knows this can't last forever.
Especially since Elsa's here too! She's been trying to work on her relationship with her sister and for the most part it's actually been going really well! Elsa doesn't ignore her as much, they talk, she even got a hug once! Of course that was after she disappeared for a week after being the virgin sacrifice for Lavi and Flash (super nice boys btw) so Anna's associated getting Elsa's attention with doing things to make Elsa worry about her. Any attention is positive attention when it comes to Elsa.
Her changes haven't really bothered her much in the grand scheme of things. She's just been rolling with them as she comes and trying to stay positive.
Basically Anna's main traits are crushing loneliness and a desperateness to be loved and have friends-- but still trying to stay positive about her situation and never giving up on trying to find her happiness. She still loves her sister a lot despite not understanding why Elsa shuts her out.

CHARACTER INFORMATION
Character Name: Anna of Arendelle
Age: 18
Canon: Frozen
Canon Point: Coronation Day
Character Information: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anna_(Disney)
Personality: Anna is a fun loving outgoing person who is filled with endless love and warmth... with absolutely no one in her life to share any of those qualities with. Anna has lived the majority of her life not fitting into a world of loneliness and isolation in a castle locked off from the rest of her family’s kingdom; interacting with only a handful of close servants and her parents while her only sister seems to ignore her existence completely.
When they were younger Anna and Elsa were very close and did almost everything together. Anna knew about Elsa’s abilities and control over ice and snow and found her abilities wonderful and fun and something to be celebrated. She loved everything about her sister and accepted her entirely with no fear of her. After accidentally hurting Anna with those powers which resulted in Anna’s memories becoming altered so she wouldn't remember Elsa’s magical capabilities, Elsa became a non-entity in Anna’s life; locking herself away in her bedroom and refusing to interact with her out of fear of possibly hurting her again or worse.
Elsa and her parents never gave Anna any sort of explanation as to why her sister would rather isolate herself instead of interacting with her, which only served to hurt Anna in a different way for years to come. Over the course of the coming years Anna tried to keep herself occupied and create her own fun and entertainment, despite being so isolated.
Anna was never raised to be the heir of a kingdom like her sister was and doesn't really carry herself in the way one might imagine a dignified royal would-- sleeping in, sliding down banisters, cramming handfuls of chocolates into her mouth, talking to paintings who can’t talk back and accidentally flinging statues into cakes. Hardly befitting of someone of nobility.
She hasn't really had anyone to interact with growing up and while friendly and well meaning tends to come across as a little naive, kind of awkward and very unpolished. She’s headstrong and tends to barrel into things without much thought as to the consequences of her actions. Still, the passion and intentions behind her brash actions are always fueled by her love and what she believes is the right thing to do. She gets tongue tied easily and is pretty clumsy; a sharp contrast to her older sister who seems to be her opposite in every way. She's never resented Elsa but she does view herself as the less important sibling; Anna views herself as "perfectly ordinary."
Anna tries to see the bright side to everything, forcing a smile through her pain of being so lonely and carrying on. Despite how Elsa ignores her, Anna still loves her sister. Although her memories of her childhood with Elsa were altered to erase Elsa's magic from her knowledge, she remembers always having fun with Elsa and the time she spent with her sister was time that she cherished deeply.
Anna continually kept trying to rekindle the relationship that she and Elsa once had… to no real avail because of the fear instilled in Elsa. Even Anna’s tearful pleas for reconciliation after the death of their parents wasn't enough to bring the two together again. Elsa couldn't trust herself to leave her bedroom in her grief without fear of hurting Anna, leaving the two siblings to painfully grieve alone.
However, being the eternal optimist that she is, Anna thinks that that could all change entirely with Elsa’s coronation as queen. The castle doors have to be opened up, visitors from surrounding Kingdoms have to come and Elsa has to come out of her bedroom and interact with her-- even if it’s just for one singular day. It’s all Anna’s wanted and maybe she can convince Elsa that it’s what she should want too.
Anna would be more than happy to escape the confinement that Elsa's fear has trapped both of them in. Being able to leave her castle, explore new places and interact with new people is everything that Anna has ever longed for. But more than anything, Anna just wants to love and be loved in return by someone-- ideally her sister but at this point she is so starved for affection the genuine love of anyone would be welcome. She knows that she is a person who is deserving of love and that she will find it somehow and someway-- but not if Elsa continues to shut the world out, keeping them both trapped and perpetually isolated.
